Background
Our team brings over a decade of experience in hardware innovation and leadership across space, energy, and medical sectors. We honed our skills at Running Tide, developing ocean monitoring systems aimed at enabling global scale carbon removal. Across multiple product generations and hundreds of deployed buoys, we learned how to deliver reliable, accurate data in some of the harshest environments on Earth.
Our Role in the Future
Bluesonde is advancing scalable monitoring for oceans, freshwater systems, and industrial waterways. By equipping organizations with the data they need, we enable responsible water management, sustainable operations, and climate resilience, providing the tools for smarter, more sustainable engagement with water.
Our Team
Andrew drives Bluesonde’s technical and strategic vision. Before focusing on water based climate solutions, he spent a decade leading engineering projects at SpaceX working on the Falcon 9 recovery hardware and Starlink satellite deployments. Andrew has a proven track record of building incredible hardware products and teams.
John spearheads mechanical engineering while also overseeing HR and accounting. He brings experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and transitioned into the blue tech industry after a career in the medical device industry where he developed multiple products from concept to launch while navigating complex regulatory approvals.
Tim heads up electrical engineering and system testing while driving key business operations such as marketing and market research. He has a decade of experience working on successful hardware products in industrial monitoring, automated test equipment and consumer electronics before making the move to blue tech.
Philipp leads software engineering at bluesonde. With over a decade of experience building world-class software, he is proficient across the full stack, from firmware to user interfaces. A proven engineering leader and passionate climate tech advocate, he brings a strong technical and mission-driven focus to his work.
